I am satisfied to say that I have read quite a handful of books already. As you might have noticed in the list I am recently fascinated with books that have to do with culture, Asian culture that is. Regular book prices starts at 315 I guess, I have looked for easier and bargain means to purchase. One is on Ebay. I love receiving packages!! And the other is going on a book hunt at second hand bookstores.
Welcome to La Belle Aurore
They have a piano as the center piece in the room, bright Christmas lights around and they play classical music inside the store.
Fall in love!!
So here we go. Joy has her hands on an Anita Shreve and an Amy Tan book.
You know that feeling when you enter a shop and you just have to get an item before you leave. I had that experience when I went here, although I was not looking for any book in particular I just felt the need to get something before I leave the place. Hahaha So here we go with our book finds. I chanced upon a copy of Pearl S. Buck's The Good Earth. At first I was contemplating to buy it but then I though maybe there will be no other copy of this book on a lesser price again. Lately all my book purchases revolve around the same setting: CHINA.
I think I have to stop this obsession some time and explore another book setting. LOL
